O City Football Group (CFG), conglomerado que administra diversos clubes ao redor do mundo, incluindo o Manchester City e o Bahia, acumulou um preju\u00edzo significativo ao longo dos anos. Desde sua funda\u00e7\u00e3o em 2013, o grupo j\u00e1 registra um d\u00e9ficit total de 972,8 milh\u00f5es de libras, o equivalente a R$ 7,3 bilh\u00f5es. Apenas na temporada 2023\/24, o preju\u00edzo antes de impostos foi de 122,2 milh\u00f5es de libras (R$ 922,1 milh\u00f5es).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mesmo com essa situa\u00e7\u00e3o financeira, o CFG conseguiu atingir uma receita recorde na \u00faltima temporada, somando 933,1 milh\u00f5es de libras. No entanto, os altos custos operacionais e investimentos acabaram resultando em mais um ano de perdas. Entre os fatores que impactaram o balan\u00e7o, destacam-se os gastos com pessoal, que chegaram a 664,3 milh\u00f5es de libras, al\u00e9m dos investimentos em contrata\u00e7\u00f5es de jogadores, que somaram 322,2 milh\u00f5es de libras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Manchester City, principal equipe do conglomerado, foi respons\u00e1vel por 77% da receita total do grupo e apresentou um resultado financeiro positivo. O clube comandado por Pep Guardiola fechou a temporada com um lucro antes de impostos de 103,4 milh\u00f5es de libras, aproximadamente R$ 780,3 milh\u00f5es. Essa performance, contudo, n\u00e3o foi suficiente para equilibrar as contas do CFG como um todo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O grupo possui participa\u00e7\u00e3o total ou parcial em 13 clubes espalhados pelo mundo, como Girona, Palermo, New York City FC e Melbourne City. Parte dos investimentos em transfer\u00eancias foi destinada a refor\u00e7ar essas equipes, com um montante de 95,8 milh\u00f5es de libras sendo utilizado para contrata\u00e7\u00f5es fora do Manchester City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nos \u00faltimos tr\u00eas anos, o CFG tem acumulado preju\u00edzos superiores a 100 milh\u00f5es de libras a cada temporada. Mesmo com um cr\u00e9dito de 30,3 milh\u00f5es de libras que ajudou a reduzir a perda l\u00edquida na \u00faltima temporada, os desafios financeiros permanecem, exigindo ajustes na gest\u00e3o e poss\u00edveis revis\u00f5es estrat\u00e9gicas para equilibrar receitas e despesas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
