A crise institucional envolvendo a Sociedade An\u00f4nima do Futebol (SAF) do Vasco da Gama ganhou um novo cap\u00edtulo nesta quinta-feira (03 de abril). O prefeito de Maric\u00e1, Washington Quaqu\u00e1, tornou p\u00fablica a inten\u00e7\u00e3o de adquirir a estrutura societ\u00e1ria do clube por meio de recursos do fundo soberano do munic\u00edpio. A proposta, considerada inusitada por muitos, j\u00e1 movimenta os bastidores do futebol carioca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O fundo mencionado por Quaqu\u00e1 \u00e9 abastecido com receitas oriundas dos royalties do petr\u00f3leo extra\u00eddo nas bacias da regi\u00e3o e atualmente soma cerca de R$ 2 bilh\u00f5es. Segundo o prefeito, os recursos seriam aplicados n\u00e3o apenas na aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o da SAF vasca\u00edna, mas tamb\u00e9m em um projeto de infraestrutura esportiva. Est\u00e1 prevista a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um est\u00e1dio com capacidade para 36 mil torcedores, que seria utilizado por Vasco e Maric\u00e1 Futebol Clube, equipe que disputa a primeira divis\u00e3o do Campeonato Carioca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atualmente, o Vasco busca um novo investidor que assuma o controle da SAF. Desde maio de 2024, por decis\u00e3o liminar do Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a do Rio de Janeiro, a 777 Partners foi afastada da gest\u00e3o. A medida atendeu a um pedido da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o do Vasco, em meio a um processo de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o judicial que envolve uma d\u00edvida de aproximadamente R$ 1,4 bilh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O presidente Pedrinho, que lidera o processo de reconstru\u00e7\u00e3o, tem como prioridade encontrar uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o definitiva para a SAF. Al\u00e9m disso, ele tenta obter uma indeniza\u00e7\u00e3o pelas perdas acumuladas durante a gest\u00e3o anterior. A proposta do prefeito de Maric\u00e1, nesse sentido, surge como mais uma alternativa em meio ao cen\u00e1rio de instabilidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quaqu\u00e1, que j\u00e1 foi deputado federal e presidente do Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), afirmou que pretende formalizar a oferta com apoio do ex-jogador Bismarck, \u00eddolo do Vasco.
